Shelley's sewing projects!

I (Shelley) decide to do a personal care projects this week and sew scraps together.

Ever get tired of using towels for ice packs?
I know I do.  They fall out, and never stay in the towel. I finally decide to just bite the bullet and make some covers for them.  I made a total of 5 using fat quarters from Jo Ann's.  I used the envelope method to assemble and sew them.  I have made pillows using this method as well.  The pillow project, is what made the light bulb in my head go on.
Check out Melanie's video on You Tube here @

She breaks it down so easily for you.

What to do with all those scraps?
Whys sew them of course!

I still am wondering what to do with my panel.
I have a few ideas, but we shall see.

Remember that big mess of fabric that had all balled up?  Well here is what it currently looks like.

I am in the middle of a couple of projects with the panels.  I cannot wait to share the finished projects with all of you.

Thanks for stopping by,
 Shelley

PS, Shelley is in the middle of moving, and I am soooo looking forward to seeing her in a couple of weeks. I have missed her more than I can say. Enjoy her little post here, and we'll have more stuff next week!
