November is ramping up!

Hello! So, Shelley and I went to the Fall Fiber Fest on November 5th, and had a blast! We got to see so many local fiber artists, farmers/herders, spinners, weavers, etc, and chatted with just about everyone we could. We also took tons of pictures, but in order to do the post justice, Shelley wants to work on some tweaks, so next time we write, it should be about our experience there.
So, on to today! I finally completed a Happypotamus! Just one more to go. I have been on a bit of a completionist trend lately, as I have too many projects to start anything new. Well, I will be starting something very quickly, but that has to do with a craft sale. Moving on! I had finished Happy's body awhile ago, but needed to add the ears and the eyes. Today was that day, and Happy looks awesome!

Now I just need to make one in blue and cream, and finish the princess stocking cap, and I will be all set. Happy doesn't take very long, if you knuckle down and do it, but I am the queen of procrastinators, so.... yeah. I already have half of the motifs started with their white center, and will work on finishing up the centers at my day job tomorrow.

So, Eastside Community Lutheran Church (ECLC), the one my hubby is parish pastor of, has asked me to put on a bit of a craft sale, and so we are going to do that on Saturday, November 19th, from 9am-1pm. Anything left from the sale will be offered every Sunday after until Christmas for sale. We are going to have scrubbies, hanging dish towels, wooden trivets and art, emergency sewing kits, etc. It isn't large, but we are hoping to have enough goodies for sale by then. Tonight, in fact, I am running a craft night there, and also doing it on the 16th too. This sale benefits the church (ie, keeps hubby employed), and all items for sale are donated. I think we will even have some handmade jewelry too! So, this is taking up a lot of my time for the foreseeable future, and doesn't even count the Christmas/late birthday gifts I'm working on.

Shelley made these cup cozies. I'm only going to have a couple of them for sale. You can take the to-go cups too, if you want them, haha!

Shelley's dad made these trivets!
I also finished up, a couple of weeks ago, an order Shelley put in for her boss. A 7 pack of scrubbies, plus a bonus washclothe as a thank you, will be heading her way tonight, since I will literally be across the street from Shelley's tonight, haha! I need to finish up color fasting a bunch of scrubbies made by the church craft group, as well as putting the scrubbing material on the little buggers. Busy busy busy!!!
That is all I have for now. Please check back when we have our posts up about Fall Fiber Fest!
Craft on! Alyssa and Shelley, aka 2 Dainty Crafters!
