Hello everyone! So.... um... long time, no see. How have you been? The kids? Yeah, we definitely need to get together for coffee or something sometime soon! Nice to see you again!

Yes, it has been a very long time since I have sat down and written on this blog. Christmas happened, the new year happened, and I put down the needles and hooks for a short time to try to work on my dollhouse. Meanwhile, Shelley has also had a ton of "omg, life, really?" moments, so neither of us has particularly had time lately. Granted, she is keeping our Instagram alive, which is good, because I am terrible about remembering to upload pics, etc. So, a bit of some updates are in order, right?
Christmas! As I have not been working since October, money is a bit tighter, so I managed to make the bulk of the gifts. I also needed to get stuff done for some commissions, so my hooks and needles were busy for a a few weeks. I think I hurt my arm again too, but not as bad as when I made my large circular vest. Here is a smorgasbord of pictures:

So, that was a smattering of Christmas gifts and commissions. After all that work, needed to reorganize something fierce:

Now, for the last couple of years I have taken January off to work on a dollhouse. My current one is in the style of Jane Austen, and so far all I have been able to do is get it built, painted inside and wallpapered. I wanted to complete at least one room this year, and I came close. I did get the library relatively finished; I found several tutorials on YouTube for creating books, shelves, and curtains. I didn't get as much done as I wanted, as I had some last minute things to create for a late Christmas get together, but I am very satisfied with it. It's now put away for the season, and I am back to making stuff with yarn again.

And, because nothing can be 100% awesome in life, we had a crisis with our kitchen sink. Water wouldn't go down anymore. After wrecking Shelley's hubby Mike's snake, we tore the hell out of the basement concrete, and found out that our pipes had collapsed...around 20 feet of it... And, we also had a 5 foot clog. So...thank goodness for Mike; he saved our bacon and helped us get that all situated. At the same time, my computer took a dive, and so I am currently on a "loaner" from another friend until we can afford to get the almost $500 worth of stuff for that.
Pangure Ban decided to sign the concrete...

I am currently working on a pair of rainbow socks for myself, and of course the Mandala Madness is on round 76, and will probably fit my queen size bed when done. It's lovely and warm at this time of your, but man, takes a long time to finish a round!
Well, that is all I have time for today. I really should have been doing dishes and mopping the bathroom, but well...hahaha!
